The Whiteshell Day Care Co-Op is seeking caring and dedicated team members to join our new licensed non profit $10/day childcare program at West Hawk United Church, in Whiteshell Provincial Park, Manitoba. As the first childcare program serving families in our community, we are looking forward to creating a welcoming, community-focused space where children can learn, explore, and grow through meaningful outdoor and play-based experiences. Our goal is for the centre to open in January of 2027.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following positions:

• Early Childcare Educators Level IIl

• Early Childcare Educators Level II

• Early Childcare Assistants

Our centre will serve children ages 2 to 6 and will emphasize outdoor play-based learning, creativity, exploration, and child-led experiences. With nature at our doorstep, educators will have the opportunity to incorporate the outdoors into daily learning and play.

The Whiteshell Day Care Coop values strong community connections and is committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff. While the childcare centre is hosted within West Hawk United Church, the centre itself is non-religious and welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds. The Day Care will serve communities west of Falcon Lake to Hadashville and the South Whiteshell.

Qualifications ~ We Are Looking for Folks Who;

• Have a genuine love for working with young children

• Value outdoor learning and play-based education

• Support respectful and inclusive practices

• Work well as part of a collaborative team

• Hold applicable ECE certification (for ECE II & III positions) or are working toward it

• Can provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check

Wage Range ~ Compensation will be based on experience, and education. The Manitoba government has support and training opportunities and our board is happy to facilitate access to these programs. Part time positions will be considered. Our daycare board of directors may be able to assist in helping to find local accommodations if needed.

• ECE IIl $28-$35/hour

• ECE II $23-$30//hour

• CCE Assistant $18-$22/hour
