Where will the Whiteshell Daycare Co-op be located?

The base of operation for the Center will be the basement of the West Hawk United Church. Although housed in the church the center will be non-religious and welcomes individuals and families of all backgrounds.
The Day Care will serve communities west of Falcon Lake to Hadashville and the South Whiteshell.
What age group does the Whiteshell Daycare Co-op provide service for?

Beginning in early January, programming will be available for children ages 2 - 6.
Phase 2 will be to provide before and after school care for children ages 6 - 11. This would also include care for school closure days (Monday - Friday).
What are the times of operation?

Whiteshell Daycare Co-op will be open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, 12 months of the year, excluding General Holiday Days as set out by Provincial Employment Standards.
Are part time spaces available?

At the outset of operations we will only be offering full time spaces; this may be reviewed at a later time if space and staffing levels allow.

The cost to the parent for a full time space is $10.00/day. This cost is matched by the government with a goal to keep childcare affordable for as many families as possible.
Fees will be collected monthly, due on the 1st of the month. Receipt of payment will be provided.
As we are operating as a not for profit Cooperative, there will be an annual Co-op Membership fee of $50/year/family.
Whiteshell Daycare’s programming will take advantage of our beautiful location in the Boreal Forest. We will be focusing on a Nature School approach while creating a welcoming, community-focused space where children can learn, explore, and grow through meaningful outdoor and play-based experiences.
